Families and Visitors

At Littledale we encourage contact with family members and friends who have or have had a positive influence and encourage on-going involvement in your recovery.

Guidance for Visitors

Being a family member or friend of someone in treatment can also be quite a challenging and difficult time. Your family member or friend will have many questions about Littledale so to help them when they visit we recommend they adhere to the following guidelines.

  • Littledale has a large car park, once parked please let staff know you have arrived
  • Alcohol or drugs are not allowed in the centre or the grounds of the centre
  • Any family member or friend with their own addiction/s may only be allowed to visit if they have a positive influence on the resident’s recovery
  • Any family member or friend involved in the Criminal Justice system may only be allowed to visit if they have a positive influence on the resident’s recovery
  • Visitors under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs will not be allowed in the centre or the grounds of the centre
  • Children are more than welcome to visit and the use of the family room will be made available if needed
  • If bringing money or gifts please hand these in to the staff office when you arrive
  • If you are having an offsite visit we strongly advise not to enter any licenced premises without staff agreement
  • If your friend or relative is attending your home they are not permitted to use any psychoactive substances and will be tested when they return to Littledale

“My time at Littledale was worth every minute. I’ve learnt a lot and very happy with all care and attention to detail and taking an interest in my life and my wellbeing for my future. A very big thanks to all.”

– SH

“Seeing ex residents here today and telling what they have done since leaving treatment and how they have changed their lives around with help from what they have learnt from the hall. Like myself I learnt a lot from LHTC and getting support when I needed it.”

– MD

"I would like to say a big thank you to Littledale Hall for all the help and support that was given to me during my time there. It wasn’t an easy decision to seek help however LHTC saved my life [...]. It was the hardest but most rewarding experience for me. I now own my own home and I am back working with my brothers expanding our family run business. I would never have imagined I would be where I am today this time 2 years ago and for that I am eternally grateful"
